Rumour: PS Plus August PS4 Games Leaked Well Ahead of Schedule

August 2019’s PlayStation Plus games have supposedly been leaked. According to pictures that Glitched Africa received from a reader, two PlayStation 4 titles have shown up as “free” on the PlayStation Store, complete with the usual little PS Plus logo. We’ve seen PS Plus games leak early on the PlayStation Store before, but this is especially soon — we’re barely halfway through July.

Anyway, the two games in question are Star Wars Battlefront 2 and EA Sports UFC 3, supposedly, and the off-screen snaps themselves look mostly legit.

However, this is where we start to wonder whether this is just some sort of error. Both titles are published by EA, which makes it a rather unorthodox selection. Adding to our doubt is the fact that EA Access — EA’s subscription service — launches later this month for PS4, on the 24th July. Would EA really be willing to ship off two of its (relatively recent) games to PS Plus just after its own subscription service has launched on the same platform? Again, we’re not convinced.

We’ll know whether all this is real on the 31st July — that’s when Sony will officially announce August’s PS Plus games.

In the meantime, let us know if you’d be happy with this lineup in the comments section below.
